Tada!

OK...I've sat on my entry long enough...
I wasn't very creative, but I think it's pretty and sparkly.
Probably not a winner per se.
It's a little dark because the glitter didn't read well until I
took the picture outside.  I traced three different leaves I found in
my backyard and glittered away.
I hope y'all have a super fun time dressing up your little ones in their costumes and trick-or-treating.  I'm going to make some hot apple cider and get my ladybug ready.

LuLu vs Pig Pen

I feel like I send Stella off to school looking like this each day:
And she comes home looking like this:

Country Home

Which would you choose if you could...a secondary home in another city, in the country, by the lake, or on the beach?  For me, it would have to be on a beach.  However, seeing Stella McCartney's country home does make think twice.  See all images and read the story of Stella's Hideaway here.

You Are A Prize

What a sweet message..."you are a prize".  Wouldn't these ribbons from One Hundred Wishes make a celebration extra special?  Maybe I should order one for myself in case I don't win the pumpkin contest.

Pumpkins

We have an annual pumpkin decorating contest in my family.  Here are two of my past entries; neither of which won.  You'd think hours with a glue gun and candy corn or a cute baby would win, but nope...my sister's seriously twisted designs won (I told her to use the prize money to seek therapy).  Although, I'm still questioning my own sanity for sticking Stella into a cold pumpkin.
It's still warm here in Dallas so it's hard to get in the mood.  I went searching for Halloweenish images that might get me motivated.

Good Morning

How would you like to wake up in this bed in the Windsor Suite at The Ritz in Paris?  Order in a chocolate croissant and coffee, perhaps?  Sofia Coppola lists it as one of her favorite places to stay.  I can see why.
We may not be able to wake up in Paris this morning, but you can make chocolate croissants from this easy 30 minute "fake-out" recipe.
Now, isn't that a good start to the week?

Lisa Luby Ryan's Sparkly Splendor

What fun I had last night...first we went to the Fall Festival at Stella's school and then to Vintage Living to see the unveiling of their "Sparkly Splendor".  Nobody does Christmas like Lisa Luby RyanWhen I moved back to Dallas 6 years ago, I have to say that I really thought I knew what my style was...but then I started to work for Lisa and my style definitely evolved.  I look back on my time with her fondly...she taught me how to tie the perfect bow, introduced me to Sonic's Cherry Limeade, showed me a fun time at her Fenwick Island beach house, and got me hooked on pink lemonade for the remainder of my pregnancy after serving it at the lovely baby shower she threw me at her beautiful home (which was in the Nov/Dec 08 Veranda).  Don't these pictures of Vintage Living last night make you so excited for the holidays?!
If you haven't already seen Lisa's amazing collection for Arteriors, you can see it here.
